Australian Henley Picnic – Saturday 22nd Feb
The Australian Henley Regatta has been conducted by the Melbourne Amateur Regatta Association on the Yarra since 1904. Their aim was to conduct a regatta on the same line as the world-renowned Henley Royal Regatta.
Next Saturday 22nd February, marks this year’s event and some of our very own Richmond rowers will be competing. To celebrate the event and to enjoy the spirit of rowing in the city of Melbourne RRC will be gathering on the banks of the Yarra for a picnic.

The Joy of the Lake – Richmond Goes to Tassie
Indeed, the joy was abundant.
First, Lake Barrington is a magnificent setting for a regatta – checkout Leonie Cluse’s photos (she spent more time jabbing at her new photo app than wielding oars). Red Hot Rutherglen
