Summer is officially in full swing! So to celebrate and as another excuse to socialise on our “oarsome” deck we will be holding a club social on Saturday 21st February to coincide with the Australian Henley regatta.
Racing runs from approximately 9:30am to 3:30pm so we will have the bar open from noon to cater for racers and spectators a like. We will also run a BBQ for a gold coin donation.
Hopefully we will have a number of RRC successes to celebrate on the day!
Liquor licence is sorted, crews will be selected shortly, but if you can help out on the bar or run the BBQ on the day, please contact Cat Hardie ([email protected]) by Wed 4th Feb!
Also please mention to all your friends, family, rowing widows / widowers, contacts in other clubs, and anybody else who would like to hang out in the best and most reasonably priced beer garden in Melbourne!

Melbourne Head
This weekend an amazing squad of tigers will take to the river in the Melbourne Head regatta. Everyone has been training hard and it has been great to see so many people at the clubhouse for this Head racing season.
Don’t forget after all the racing is done we will be opening the doors of our fantastic clubhouse to the Melbourne rowing community and welcoming friends and family to enjoy an afternoon on the terrace, with the bar open and some sausages sizzling. Please spread the word and if you are able to help on the bbq for an hour or so let me know [email protected]
Happy New Year RRC
I hope everyone had a great Christmas and new year break and is looking forward to another exciting year at RRC. 2013 was a fantastic year with our sesquicentennial (150 years) celebrations and a strong contingent of members training, competing and hopefully having fun all year. Social / Casual Rowing
Are you an experienced rower that just wants to row socially or casually at
Richmond?
This would suit people who:
- Cannot commit to set crew.
- Want to come back to rowing.
- Not wanting to compete in regattas.
- Want to get fit.
We are proposing outings on Sunday morning after the squad training sessions come in at 11.30am.
Although Christine is a level 1 coach, there will not be any coaching but for suggestions to get the boats up and balanced.
We will be rowing distances to suit the crews.
If you would be interested in this please contact Christine or Nick Kaissidis
